| Description: | BRIEF DESCRIPTION: Under the general direction of the County Manager, this position oversees and administers assigned County programs such as Motor Vehicle Office, Code Enforcement, Rural Addressing/Floodplain Management, certain Grant Administration, Geographic Information System, Planning, DWI and Indigent Healthcare. Work involves providing oversight, managing various projects and grants, researching and analyzing issues, writing various letters and resolutions, and receiving/investigating/resolving complaints or concerns from various sources. In conjunction with program managers, employee will provide oversight and assist with developing and managing assigned program budgets. Employee must exercise considerable initiative and independent judgment, tact, and courtesy in frequent contact with County employees, community groups, businessmen, contractors, and the general public. May be required to work overtime, irregular hours, attend meetings, both in and out of state and perform other duties as assigned. |
