Description:	This is work performed to provide care and custody of adult prisoners and to maintain order and discipline among the prisoners of the Pierce County Corrections and Detention Center, a maximum-security facility. Employees in this classification are responsible for the operation of the jail on a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week basis, and the direct and indirect supervision of inmates.
Special Instructions:	Submit your application on or before the application deadline. You do not need to notify us of your choice of exam date or time. Attend a testing date from the testing cycle schedule; keep in mind that some test locations have limited seating capacity and tests will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. No invitations will be sent. Applicants must complete all parts of the testing process (both the written exam and physical fitness test) before the end of the testing cycle (September 29th, 2007).
